Our toothed pulley range: from standard to special

The toothed pulley is the component on which the belt meshes to transmit motion. We offer all common tooth profiles (AT5, AT10, AT15, AT20, T10, T20, HTD) across a wide range of tooth counts and widths.

Standard toothed pulley: hundreds of part numbers in stock

Our catalogue of standard toothed pulleys covers the sizes most requested by industry, with dispatch within 24 to 48 hours. For design offices, our online 3D configurator lets you select the pitch, width and number of teeth, then download the STEP file to integrate directly into your designs.

Custom toothed pulley: manufactured to your drawings

One order in two involves a custom toothed pulley. You design your part, our technical specialists check feasibility and guide you towards the closest standard dimensions if needed. Machining is carried out in our Orléans workshop by 25 specialists (milling and turning operators). The result: high-precision toothed pulleys, delivered within a few weeks, including for complex geometries.

Synchronous pulley: precision at the heart of your drive systems

A synchronous pulley works in perfect unison with its belt to ensure slip-free drive. It is this synchronisation that delivers repeatability of ± 0.05 mm on linear systems, a level of accuracy sought in robotics, machine tools and packaging.

Paired with a synchronous polyurethane belt reinforced with steel cords (a technology invented by BRECO), the drive pulley from Binder Magnetic forms an assembly engineered to last. Our teams support the sizing process: load calculation, profile selection and service-life estimation. You are not choosing a pulley alone; you are choosing a complete drive solution.

Industrial pulley: applications across every sector

Our industrial pulleys are fitted to machines in the food, medical, automotive, pharmaceutical, packaging and cosmetics industries. Whether you need a small conveyor pulley for counting or a large pulley driving a transport system, we have the right part for you.

Aluminium toothed pulley: the choice of 80% of our customers

Aluminium accounts for 80% of our production. The aluminium pulley offers an optimal weight-to-strength ratio, excellent machinability and good corrosion resistance. For harsher environments, we also offer pulleys in steel, stainless steel or composite materials.

Matching pulley and toothed belt for a reliable drive

The pulley and toothed belt pairing must be precisely sized to prevent premature wear or vibration. Our sales engineers carry out the calculations and recommend the synchronous pulley-belt combination best suited to your specifications. This technical advice, included as part of our service, sets a specialist toothed pulley supplier apart from a general distributor.

Why buy your pulleys from Binder Magnetic?

Buying an industrial pulley from Binder Magnetic means benefiting from over 55 years of expertise in synchronous drive technology. 60% of our pulleys are machined in France, and our 5 regional offices (Paris, Angers, Toulouse, Strasbourg, Lyon) provide close technical support across the country. In an emergency, we can manufacture and ship a part in under 24 hours.

Our calculation software and 3D configurator support you from design through to sizing. ISO 9001-certified for over 30 years, a founding member of the MULCO group and holder of the EcoVadis Bronze medal, Binder Magnetic is committed to the quality of every toothed drive pulley that leaves our workshop.

Frequently asked questions about our toothed pulleys

Binder Magnetic answers all your questions about toothed pulleys.

What is the lead time for a custom pulley?

For a custom pulley, allow 2 to 6 weeks depending on complexity and quantities. Standard pulleys are dispatched within 24 to 48 hours. In the event of a machine breakdown, our teams organise emergency production to minimise your downtime.

What materials are available for your pulleys?

Aluminium is our primary material (80% of production), valued for its light weight and machinability. We also offer steel pulleys for heavy loads, and pulleys in materials suited to specific environments (food-grade, cleanroom, corrosive). Send us your specifications for personalised advice.

How do I use the 3D pulley configurator?

After registering on our website, you get free access to the configurator. Select the profile, width and number of teeth: the tool generates a downloadable 3D drawing in STEP format, ready to integrate into your CAD design. Our own teams also use it for spare parts.

What is the difference between a toothed pulley and a flat pulley?

A toothed pulley has grooves that mesh with the belt teeth, eliminating any slippage and ensuring synchronous transmission. A flat pulley works by friction and is suited to applications where positioning accuracy is not a priority. For precise, repeatable drive, the toothed pulley remains the best choice.
