Since 1971, Binder Magnetic has designed and manufactured polyurethane toothed belts and toothed pulleys for the most demanding industrial applications. Custom toothed belts for every industrial application

Our range of custom toothed belts covers all synchronous transmission requirements, from micromechanisms to long-distance conveying. Every belt we produce is made from polyurethane reinforced with steel cords, a process invented by BRECO and recognized for wear resistance and positioning accuracy (±0.05 mm repeatability).

We offer linear belts, endless toothed belts, and ATN conveyor belts in all common profiles: AT5, AT10, AT20, T10, T20 and HTD.

Power and precision

Our range of polyurethane toothed drive belts is available in three product lines. BINDER®premium incorporates the latest technologies (BRECOflex® Move, SYNCHROflex® GENIII, SYNCHROforce and SYNCHROchain) for high-speed, high-power applications. BINDER®custom allows the reinforcement and polyurethane type to be customized to your specifications. BINDER®access covers standard profiles for conventional applications. We also distribute CONTI® toothed transmission belts Synchrodrive, known for their flexibility and high strength.

Toothed pulleys: immediate stock availability and made-to-drawing manufacturing

Our toothed pulleys are manufactured to the MULCO standard, and 80% are machined from aluminum in our Orléans workshop. We maintain a broad catalog of stock pulleys for immediate requirements and manufacture any special pulley to customer drawings. An online 3D configurator allows design offices to create and download STEP models directly from their customer account.

Electric actuators: an alternative to pneumatic and hydraulic cylinders

Our electromechanical actuators provide a high-performance alternative to pneumatic or hydraulic cylinders, with greater energy efficiency and more precise control. Our range covers standard industrial applications (Junior, Picolo, Compakt, Econom, Herkules and Vario), custom projects built to specifications, and waterway applications (locks, dams and bridges), with forces up to 150 metric tons and strokes up to 10 meters.

As the exclusive distributor of ADE and ELERO actuators in France, Binder Magnetic supports customers with selecting, sizing and integrating solutions suited to their mechanical, environmental and performance requirements.

Electromagnets, holding magnets and brakes for your machines

Binder Magnetic is also a recognized player in industrial electromagnetics. Our electromagnets for actuation (single, double, monostable and bistable) can pull, push, lock, position or orient a part within a machine with high reliability. Our range also includes electromagnetic holding magnets, power-off brakes and clutches. These components are used in machines across demanding sectors including food processing, medical, automotive, rail and defense. What is the difference between a toothed belt and a smooth belt?

A toothed belt has teeth that mesh with a toothed pulley, ensuring synchronous transmission without slippage. Unlike a smooth belt, it makes it possible to know the belt's exact position at all times, provide repeatable motion and synchronize multiple axes within a machine. This is why it is also called a synchronous belt or toothed belt: the terms refer to the same type of product.

What are the lead times for a custom toothed belt?

Lead times vary depending on the complexity and product line.

Power transmission - Synchroflex and Brecoflex (endless toothed belt): in-stock items ship in 2 to 3 days; special versions are available on request with a minimum order quantity.

Linear transmission - BRECOmove or BRECOclassic (open-length toothed belt): allow approximately one week.

Transport and conveying - ATN, Pinlock or V-welded : welded or more complex belts require 2 to 6 weeks. In an emergency, our Orléans workshop can produce certain part numbers in less than 24 hours to help limit downtime.

What is the difference between a single-sided toothed belt and a double-sided toothed belt (DL)?

A standard toothed belt has teeth on one side only: it meshes with a toothed pulley on one side and is sufficient for the vast majority of synchronous transmission applications. A double-sided toothed belt has teeth on both sides. This configuration allows pulleys on both sides of the belt to be driven simultaneously. At Binder Magnetic, these double-sided toothed belts (DL) are available in endless or linear versions, both standard and custom, in all common profiles (AT, T and HTD).

Does Binder Magnetic only supply belts?

No. While belts are our historic core business, we offer a complete range of transmission components: toothed pulleys (stock and made-to-drawing manufacturing), electromagnets, electromagnetic holding magnets, brakes, clutches and electric actuators.
